Follow the progress of theDoighouse Earthship build from the first row of tires.

Earthship 'inspired' for a net zero building

The Earthship, no windows yet, but you can see the light from inside shining through the greenhouse.
The south face of the Earthship with the greenhouse lit up with lights from within the building.
A good example of the glass bottle brick wall.
Framing in the master bathroom walls using aluminum pop and beer cans.
Framing in the interior walls using recycled pop and beer cans.
A few wild poppies growing at the base of the northeast wing tire wall.
A team of volunteers filling in the spaces between the tires with cement and recycled beer cans.
Levelling the newly poured cement in the greenhouse.
Our plumber! installing the below slab sewer pipes.
A layer of dirt is being added onto the recycled blue styrofoam that has been installed and taped.
